BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! Collection of New York Yankees Baseball Memorabilia Including Framed Photos, Magazines, and Books
This collection consists of various New York Yankees memorabilia primarily dating from the early 1960s through the early 2000s. Included is a framed 1961 World Champions team photograph featuring a printed roster and an ink signature attributed to Bill Moose Skowron. There is a 1996 World Series Champions commemorative plaque that displays action photos of Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, and Andy Pettitte, alongside a score summary of the series against the Atlanta Braves. The lot contains multiple Yankees Magazine issues from the 1980s and 1990s featuring players such as Lee Mazzilli, Steve Sax, Alvaro Espinoza, Roberto Kelly, Kevin Maas, and Jesse Barfield. Also present are official yearbooks from 1982 and 1989, and Information and Record Guides for 2002, 2003, and 2004. A March 1, 1993, issue of Sports Illustrated with George Steinbrenner on the cover is included, as well as the books For the Love of the New York Yankees by Dave Kaplan and All Roads Lead to October by Maury Allen.
Provenance / Authentication Note: This item originates from a single-owner collection assembled by a dedicated sports fan (with a strong focus on Notre Dame and New York Yankees memorabilia). The collector actively pursued autographs over many years through in-person events, including games, autograph shows, and visits to National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during player events, as well as through direct mail requests to athletes and celebrities. The collection included supporting material such as handwritten correspondence sent to athletes (in some cases with payment enclosed), along with photographs of the collector with various signers. A portion of this same collection was featured in our March 21st auction, where multiple items were authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA). In regards to any items with signature(s): While this specific item(s) may not be individually submitted for third-party authentication, it originates from the same collection and shows consistency with previously authenticated pieces. As with many large autograph collections, there may be a small number of facsimile or clubhouse-style signatures present, but for the most part we have seen AUTHENTIC SIGNATURES within the collection. Based on the overall provenance and our review, we maintain a strong level of confidence in the authenticity of most items. Bidders are encouraged to review all photos carefully and bid according to their own level of comfort. No additional authentication documentation is included unless visible within the lot photos. Condition report:
Items are in good, collectible condition overall. Magazines and programs show typical signs of age, including edge fraying, toning, and surface scuffs. Some magazines bear mailing labels. Framed items exhibit minor cosmetic wear to the wood and finish. The Bill Moose Skowron signature has not been professionally authenticated. Individual items have not been removed from frames for inspection.
