BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A Collection of NCAA College Football Media Guides, Game Programs, and Autographed Memorabilia
A collection of college football ephemera and memorabilia dating from the early 1990s through the early 2010s. The group features materials from several prominent programs including Florida State University, the University of Texas, the University of Notre Dame, and the University of Tennessee.
Florida State University items include spiral bound media guides from the 2000 and 2003 seasons, along with game programs such as the 1996 FedEx Orange Bowl against Notre Dame and a regular season matchup featuring Greg Jones.
University of Texas Longhorns items include a color photograph of head coach Mack Brown holding a trophy with a black ink inscription reading Hook Em Mack Brown. Also included is a 2009 team photo with multiple black ink signatures across the image, and several player composite sheets and autograph cards featuring players such as Lamar Houston, Ben Alexander, Hunter Lawrence, Will Harvey, Limas Sweed, and Ashton Dorsey. Most player items bear black ink marks appearing to be signatures. Team schedules from 2007 and 2011 are also present.
Game programs include several Notre Dame matchups: 1994 vs. Army at the Meadowlands and 1993 vs. Navy, both featuring cartoon cover art by Mike Ricigliano. An Army vs. Navy program from 1995 is also included. Tennessee Volunteers memorabilia consists of a 1995 football guide and a 1995 homecoming program against Oklahoma State. Additional items include a 1993 Athlon Football Eastern Edition magazine and a black and white commemorative photo of Eddie Robinson from Grambling State.
Provenance / Authentication Note: This item originates from a single-owner collection assembled by a dedicated sports fan (with a strong focus on Notre Dame and New York Yankees memorabilia). The collector actively pursued autographs over many years through in-person events, including games, autograph shows, and visits to National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during player events, as well as through direct mail requests to athletes and celebrities. The collection included supporting material such as handwritten correspondence sent to athletes (in some cases with payment enclosed), along with photographs of the collector with various signers. A portion of this same collection was featured in our March 21st auction, where multiple items were authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA). In regards to any items with signature(s): While this specific item(s) may not be individually submitted for third-party authentication, it originates from the same collection and shows consistency with previously authenticated pieces. As with many large autograph collections, there may be a small number of facsimile or clubhouse-style signatures present, but for the most part we have seen AUTHENTIC SIGNATURES within the collection. Based on the overall provenance and our review, we maintain a strong level of confidence in the authenticity of most items. Bidders are encouraged to review all photos carefully and bid according to their own level of comfort. No additional authentication documentation is included unless visible within the lot photos. Please reach out with any questions.
Condition report:
The collection is in good vintage condition consistent with age and handling. Visible wear includes minor corner blunting, surface rubbing on covers, and light shelf wear. The spiral bindings on the media guides are intact. Paper edges on some programs show light signs of use. Autographs are applied to photographic and glossy paper surfaces and appear clear; no certificates of authenticity are present.
