This commemorative Wilson model 1001 football honors the University of Wisconsin Badgers victory in the 1994 Rose Bowl against the UCLA Bruins. The ball features two hand-signed autographs in black felt-tip marker by head coach Barry Alvarez and running back Brent Moss. One leather panel is printed with a black Rose Bowl logo above the text 1994 ROSE BOWL, WISCONSIN 21, and UCLA 16. The reverse panel contains the manufacturer Wilson logo in gold with black outlines, the model number 1001, and a small NFL shield logo. The ball is constructed of brown pebbled leather with two white stripes and white laces. Provenance includes a descriptive listing from a 2011 MEARS Auction referencing a MEARS Letter of Authenticity (LOA).
Condition report:
The Brent Moss signature exhibits significant fading. The internal bladder does not hold air, leaving the ball in a deflated state. The leather displays light surface wear and minor scuffing consistent with age and handling.
