This commemorative sports memorabilia set is manufactured by The Highland Mint to celebrate the opening of the New Meadowlands Stadium, home of the New York Jets, which opened in 2010. The set features a panoramic night photograph of the stadium during a Jets home game, complete with fireworks. The photograph is double-matted in team colors of green and white and housed in a black frame. To the right of the photograph are two 24kt gold-plated medallions and a centrally located Certificate of Authenticity plaque. The top medallion features the New York Jets logo with the text New York Jets and Est. 1960. The bottom medallion features the official NFL shield logo. The Certificate of Authenticity plaque includes a Jets helmet graphic and text reading New Meadowlands Stadium Home of the Jets Since 2010, Two 24kt Gold Plated Medallions and a Photograph, and Limited Edition 2500. This specific piece is hand-numbered 0020 of the 2500 produced. The plaque bears the logos for the NFL, the New York Jets, and The Highland Mint (HM).
Provenance / Authentication Note: This item originates from a single-owner collection assembled by a dedicated sports fan (with a strong focus on Notre Dame and New York Yankees memorabilia). The collector actively pursued autographs over many years through in-person events, including games, autograph shows, and visits to National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during player events, as well as through direct mail requests to athletes and celebrities. The collection included supporting material such as handwritten correspondence sent to athletes (in some cases with payment enclosed), along with photographs of the collector with various signers. A portion of this same collection was featured in our March 21st auction, where multiple items were authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA). In regards to any items with signature(s): While this specific item(s) may not be individually submitted for third-party authentication, it originates from the same collection and shows consistency with previously authenticated pieces. As with many large autograph collections, there may be a small number of facsimile or clubhouse-style signatures present, but for the most part we have seen AUTHENTIC SIGNATURES within the collection. Based on the overall provenance and our review, we maintain a strong level of confidence in the authenticity of most items. Bidders are encouraged to review all photos carefully and bid according to their own level of comfort. No additional authentication documentation is included unless visible within the lot photos. Condition report:
The item appears to be in excellent, like-new condition. It is housed within its original manufacturer\'s cardboard shipping box, which features the repeating text HM Minted Memories that Last a Lifetime. There are no visible signs of wear, damage, or fading to the frame, matting, coins, or photograph.
