This lot features a Rawlings Official Major League Baseball autographed by Major League pitcher Corbin Burnes. The signature is executed in blue ballpoint ink across the sweet spot. The autograph is characterized by a stylized script B, followed by connected lowercase characters, and finished with a large, looping script S. Provenance / Authentication Note: This item originates from a single-owner collection assembled by a dedicated sports fan (with a strong focus on Notre Dame and New York Yankees memorabilia). The collector actively pursued autographs over many years through in-person events, including games, autograph shows, and visits to National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during player events, as well as through direct mail requests to athletes and celebrities. The collection included supporting material such as handwritten correspondence sent to athletes (in some cases with payment enclosed), along with photographs of the collector with various signers. Condition report:
The baseball appears in excellent, as-new condition. The leather surface is bright white and the red stitching remains crisp. The blue ink signature is bold and well-defined with no evidence of fading or smudging. The acrylic display case shows minimal signs of handling.
