This lot consists of a collection of five vintage Marvel comic books featuring the character Hawkeye. The primary focus of the group is a complete four-issue limited series published in 1983. Each comic is presented in an individual clear protective sleeve with a backing board.
The Hawkeye Limited Series (1983) includes:
Issue 1: Dated September 1983. Written and penciled by Mark Gruenwald with inks by Brett Breeding. This issue features the first solo series appearance for the character and the first meeting of Hawkeye and Mockingbird.
Issue 2: Dated October 1983. Written and penciled by Mark Gruenwald with inks by Bob Layton.
Issue 3: Dated November 1983. Written and penciled by Mark Gruenwald with inks by Danny Bulanadi.
Issue 4: Dated December 1983. Written and penciled by Mark Gruenwald with inks by Eliot R. Brown. This issue features the marriage of Hawkeye and Mockingbird.

Solo Avengers Starring Hawkeye and Captain Marvel Issue 2: Dated January 1988. The cover art is credited to Ron Lim and Tom Christopher.
All issues are standard United States Direct Market editions with barcodes on the front covers. The books feature full color printing on newsprint.
Condition report:
The comic books are in raw, ungraded condition. The 1983 limited series issues appear to be well-preserved with vibrant cover colors, sharp corners, and intact spines. Solo Avengers Issue 2 is in generally good condition but features an aftermarket $2.00 price sticker adhered to the upper left corner of the front cover. The comics have not been examined outside of their protective sleeves.
