This lot consists of five trading cards produced by Rookie Phenoms in 2012 featuring Shohei Ohtani (spelled Shohei Otani on the cards) as a Japanese High School Sensation. The cards commemorate Ohtani’s amateur career at Hanamaki Higashi High School. The collection includes three yellow-bordered cards designated as 2012 Rookie Card and two gold-bordered cards designated as 2012 Gold RC. The card fronts feature circular image masks with action and portrait photography of the player pitching and batting. Condition report:
The cards are in raw, ungraded condition and are individually housed in clear plastic top-loader protectors. They present in excellent visual condition with sharp corners, clean edges, and vibrant colors. No visible surface scuffs, creases, or edge wear are apparent through the holders. Centering appears consistent with the original design specifications.
