This lot consists of approximately 14 detached Silver Age DC Comics ephemera pieces, primarily splash pages, interior pages, and cover fragments dating from 1963 to 1968. The publisher is National Periodical Publications (DC Comics). Included in the collection are: a front cover fragment from Batman number 175 (November 1965) featuring Robin and the Batman Killed newspaper headline; a splash page for Detective Comics number 342 (August 1965) titled The Midnight Raid of the Robin Gang!, featuring art by Bob Kane and Sheldon Moldoff; Legion of Super-Heroes splash pages from Adventure Comics number 333 (June 1965), number 334 (July 1965), and number 335 (August 1965); a Superman splash page from Action Comics number 327 (August 1965) titled The Three Generations of Superman!; a Superman splash page from Action Comics number 332 (January 1966) titled The Super-Vengeance of Lex Luthor!; an 80-Page Giant Supergirl table of contents page from Action Comics number 360 (March-April 1968); a partial splash page fragment from Superman number 171 (August 1964) titled The Legion of Super-Creatures!; a splash page from Superman number 178 (July 1965) titled Project Earth-Doom!; a splash page from Metamorpho number 4 (Jan.-Feb. 1966) titled The Awesome Escapades of the Abominable Playboy; a Supergirl and Wonder Woman splash page from The Brave and the Bold number 63 (Dec. 1965 – Jan. 1966) titled The Revolt of the Super-Girls!; an interior page fragment featuring Lex Luthor from Superman number 164 (October 1963); and an interior page fragment from Action Comics number 317 (October 1964) titled The Giant Superman of Metropolis.
Condition report:
The items are in poor, incomplete condition. They consist of detached interior splash pages and cover fragments. Notable damage includes significant surface wear, deep horizontal and vertical creases, large tears, missing corners and sections, and staple-hole pull-through. The Batman number 175 cover is a large fragment only. These items are not professionally graded and are sold as-is for reference, research, or craft purposes.
