This lot comprises a collection of vintage softcover, staple-bound comic books and promotional publications from several major American publishers, spanning the Silver through Bronze Ages. Titles represented include various series from Harvey Comics such as Richie Rich (including Fortunes, Success, and crossovers with Jackie Jokers, Gloria, and Casper), Casper the Friendly Ghost (including issue numbers 6 and 99), and Hot Stuff the Little Devil (issue number 86). Additional titles from Gold Key include Walt Disney’s Uncle Scrooge and Looney Tunes. Dell Comics is represented by Edgar Rice Burroughs Tarzan, and Archie Comics Group includes Archie’s Joke Book, Betty and Veronica, and a Jughead Annual. Other publishers featured include Star Comics and Marvel (Heathcliff numbers 2 and 3), Charlton Comics (Speed Buggy number 9), Whitman (Turok Son of Stone number 129), and Gilberton Company’s Classics Illustrated (number 91 The Call of the Wild by Jack London and number 101 William Tell). A promotional Buster Brown Comic Book (number 33) is included, featuring a dealer stamp for MOSER SHOE STORE on the front cover. Visible price points range from 10 cent issues to 65 cent issues. Publication dates range from the 1950s through the early 1980s, with mid-1970s dates noted on Dennis the Menace titles. Several issues are housed in protective plastic sleeves.

Condition report:

The collection is in varied condition with common signs of age and handling throughout. Visible defects include spine rolls, creasing to covers and corners, edge chipping, surface abrasions, and tanning of the interior pages. Specific notable damage includes a torn upper right corner on Casper number 99 and a significant tear along the left edge of Richie Rich and Jackie Jokers number 10. Several issues bear handwritten ink notations on the front covers, such as 11-29 on the Uncle Scrooge issue and price notations on the Classics Illustrated Call of the Wild. Tearing and fraying are present on the spines of the older Dell and Classics Illustrated issues.
