Description
BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A collection of vintage comic book promotional materials and marketing ephemera from various independent publishers, dated between 1986 and 1987. The group includes two large promotional posters for The Last of the Viking Heroes published by Genesis West Comics in 1987, featuring cover art for issues one through five with artist credits for Jack Kirby, George Perez, Michael E. Thibodeaux, and John Byrne. Also included is a large promotional poster for Evangeline published by First Comics in 1986, featuring a jungle scene with dinosaurs illustrated by Ricardo Villagran. The collection further contains a promotional fold-out flyer for the three-issue series Dinosaur Rex from Fantagraphics Books/Upshot Graphics, dated 1986, by Jan Strnad and Henry Mayo, which also promotes the second feature The Dragons of Summer by William Messner-Loebs and Dennis Fujitake. The items are in overall good to very good condition for paper ephemera. All pieces exhibit standard horizontal and vertical fold lines as originally issued for mailing or distribution. There is minor handling wear along the edges and corners of the sheets. These items are unframed and sold as a collection of promotional materials, not as comic books.
