Description
This lot features two Silver Age DC Comics from “The Brave and the Bold” series. The first comic is identified as issue #61, featuring “Batman versus Eclipso,” with cover text highlighting Eclipso’s lack of memory regarding Batman. The second comic is identified as issue #62 (1965), showcasing “Starman and Black Canary” facing “The Sportsmaster and Huntress,” promoted as a “SENSATIONAL COMIC-BOOK FIRST!” and a “SUPER-HERO COME-BACK WILD!!!”, and is notable for the 1st Silver Age appearance of Black Canary. Both comics bear a 12¢ cover price and display the “APPROVED BY THE COMICS CODE AUTHORITY” seal. The reverse side of issue #61 features a full-page advertisement for “Aurora Model Motoring” with a Ford Mustang race set.
