Description
A collection of six issues of the amateur press publication ‘Etcetera’ / ‘The Comic Reader’. These black and white stapled fanzines or newsletters date from the late 1970s. Each issue consistently bears the title “ETCETERA,” with some featuring subtitles such as “THE COMIC READER,” “NEWS,” and “REVIEWS: SELL THE COMPANY.” Visible issue numbers like “No. 16/77,” “No. 17,” and “Vol. 1 NO. 17,” along with postal markings and internal text, confirm an October 1977 publication period. Printed on paper, likely newsprint, they include typed articles and simple illustrations, such as a Superman drawing, typical of the era. Copyright details such as “1977 NBM Publications” and “1977 Richard Kyle” are present. The reverse of several issues display mailing labels, postage stamps, and “First Class Mail!” indications addressed to various individuals including Mike Barrier and Richard Kyle.

The collection is in generally good condition, showing minor age-appropriate wear, light creasing, and some discoloration consistent with newsprint of the era.
