Description
A collection of fourteen vintage comic books and fanzines, predominantly from the mid-20th century, likely the 1960s-1970s. This group includes nine issues of ‘The New Captain George’s Whizzbang’ (Nos. 9, 11-18), featuring covers depicting characters such as Frankenstein, Terry and the Pirates, a man in a helmet, and ‘Operator 5,’ with original cover prices ranging from 35 to 60 cents. Also present are multiple ‘Comic World’ titles, some featuring ‘Captain America’ and ‘Popeye,’ alongside ‘Grand Slam,’ ‘Thimble Theatre Starring Popeye’ comic strip reprints, and an ‘Outcault’s Buster I’ publication. These items are composed of paper, generally saddle-stitched or stapled pamphlets.
Condition report:
Condition ranges from fair to good. Visible signs of age include edge wear, minor creasing, and light discoloration. Some items may exhibit foxing or minor tears consistent with their vintage nature and handling.
