A vintage American Superman Sunday Newspaper Strip from the “Chicago Sun Times” “Sunday Times Comic Section,” dated September 15, 1946. This Golden Age comic strip is encapsulated in a professional CGC Universal Grade slab marked “AU.” The strip features the story “Tom Catt’s Curiosity Crimes,” with visible credits to Jerry Siegel, Joe Shuster, Al Schwartz, Wayne Boring, and Stan Kaye. Key markings include the original “10¢” price, an advertisement for “$125 CASH CONTESTS THIS ISSUE,” and the instruction “Lift out Breeze magazine from this section.”
Condition report:
The newspaper strip exhibits a uniform aged, yellowish-brown tone consistent with its 1946 origin. Colors appear somewhat faded. The item is well-preserved within its protective CGC Universal Grade slab, which indicates authenticity.
