Description

A professionally graded and encapsulated copy of D.C. Comics’ “Challengers of the Unknown #28.” Graded by CGC Universal Grade at 6.5 with Off-White to White Pages, the comic was published 10-11/62 (October-November 1962). The cover features art by Bob Brown, depicting the Challengers of the Unknown in purple uniforms running from left to right, with a red-haired woman in a blue dress being pulled by a tribal-garbed figure. The backdrop shows ancient Egyptian-style seated statues with faces resembling the Challengers. A speech bubble reads: “NO TIME TO FIGURE OUT WHAT OUR FACES ARE DOING ON THOSE STATUES HERE IN ANCIENT EGYPT! JUNE’S IN TROUBLE!”, and a banner at the bottom advertises “featuring ‘The RIDDLE of the FACELESS MAN!'”. Other visible markings include the Superman National Comics logo, the 12¢ price, the Comics Code Authority seal, and the issue number “NOV NO. 28”. The comic is securely housed in its clear acrylic slab.
