Description
Adventure Comics #300, published by D.C. Comics in September 1962, CGC graded 4.5 with cream to off-white pages. The cover, attributed to Curt Swan & George Klein, features Superboy flying, surrounded by characters including Sun Boy, Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad, Triplicate Girl, Cosmic Boy, and Mon-El, alongside a “SUPER-HERO CLUB HOUSE.” Prominent text on the cover reads “Featuring Superboy in ‘TALES OF THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES!'” and “By Popular Demand! MON-EL LEAVES THE PHANTOM ZONE AND JOINS THE LEGION!” Other visible markings include the “APPROVED BY THE COMICS CODE AUTHORITY” seal, a “NATIONAL COMICS” logo with a “Superman DC” emblem, and a 12¢ price. Stories are by Jerry Siegel & Edmond Hamilton, with art by George Papp, John Forte, and Al Plastino. This issue marks the beginning of the “Tales of the Legion of Super-Heroes series” and features Mon-El joining the Legion.
Condition report:
CGC graded 4.5 (Very Good+). Pages are cream to off-white. Encased in a protective plastic slab. Shows wear consistent with the assigned grade, including minor creasing, corner wear, and spine stress.
