Description
A group of five vintage American science fiction pulp magazines, all titled ‘Captain Future Man of Tomorrow,’ dating from the early to mid-1940s, specifically Winter 1942, Fall 1942, Winter 1943, Spring 1943, and Spring 1944. Each magazine features vibrant, dramatic pulp art illustrations on the front covers, depicting classic science fiction themes of space adventure, alien encounters, and heroic characters. Several stories within are credited to author Edmond Hamilton. The back covers display period advertisements for various goods and services, including Underwood typewriters, books such as ‘Kings Row’ and ‘Short Stories of De Maupassant,’ ‘Bundal’s Practical Machinist’s’ guides, Spee-D-Hone razor blade sharpeners, and Calvert whiskey.
Condition report:
Fair to good for their age, showing typical wear such as edge wear, corner creasing, some minor tears, spine chipping, and general paper tanning and discoloration.
