Description
A professionally graded and encapsulated copy of *Luke Cage, Hero For Hire #1* from Marvel Comics, published in June 1972. This comic is held within a CGC Universal Grade holder, assigned a grade of 7.0 with “OFF-WHITE TO WHITE Pages.” It is significant as the origin and first appearance of Luke Cage, as well as the first appearance of Diamondback (Willis Stryker). The cover, in a dynamic Bronze Age style by John Romita and George Tuska, depicts the muscular Luke Cage in a yellow shirt and blue pants with a chain belt, punching forward, set against a red background with elements like playing cards, dice, and other figures. The prominent yellow title “LUKE CAGE, HERO FOR HIRE” and the slogan “SENSATIONAL ORIGIN ISSUE!” are visible. Archie Goodwin is credited for the story, and George Tuska and Billy Graham for the interior art.
