Description
A vintage American comic book, “National Comics #57,” published by Quality Comics in December 1946. The comic is encased in a clear protective plastic slab graded by CGC (Certified Guaranty Company) with a Qualified Grade of 5.0. The grading label explicitly states “26th & 27th PAGE MISSING, AFFECTS STORY, INCOMPLETE” and describes the interior pages as “CREAM TO OFF-WHITE.” The cover art is credited to Al Bryant, with interior art by Klaus Nordling, Jack Cole, and Al McWilliams. The Golden Age-style cover features a large, grinning clown head with a prominent red nose and wide red lips, wearing a purple hat. Four distinct cartoon character faces—a man with a cigar, a man in a fedora, a woman, and a jovial man—are depicted within the clown’s mouth, resembling teeth.
