Description
A professionally graded “Zap Comix #1” comic book, issued by Apex Novelties in November 1967, identified as a Third Printing. The comic is encased within a clear CGC Universal Grade slab, with a stated grade of 9.2 and Off-White Pages. The grading label specifies “Robert Crumb story, cover and art” and “Mr. Natural cover and story.” The cover features a bold yellow background with a large blue “Zap Comix” title and additional text including “FAIR WARNING: FOR ADULT INTELLECTUALS ONLY!”, “NO.1”, “all new”, “Zap Comics are Squinky Comics!!”, a 35¢ price, and an “APPROVED BY THE GHOST WRITERS IN THE SKY” stamp. The distinctive underground comix style illustration depicts Mr. Natural driving a yellow vehicle through a cityscape with other exaggerated, cartoonish figures.
