Description
The Beyond #8, published by Ace Periodicals in January 1952, graded CGC 3.5 with OFF-WHITE Pages. Encapsulated in a clear, hard-plastic CGC Universal Grade slab (certification number 4006997001). This Golden Age Pre-Code Horror comic features a classic horror/supernatural cover depicting a distressed man and woman observing a mysterious castle structure on water under a large yellow moon, framed by barren tree branches. The cover displays the full title “Weird, Spooky, Supernatural Stories The BEYOND” and the “ACE” publisher logo within a spade symbol. A speech bubble from the woman reads: “LOOK, THAT CASTLE! WE’VE CROSSED THESE MOORS MANY TIMES, BUT IT WAS NEVER THERE BEFORE! ROBERT, IT’S LIKE THE CASTLE IN THAT HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE I HAD!”. Originally priced at 10 cents.
Condition report:
The comic book exhibits visible wear, creasing, and discoloration consistent with its assigned grade of 3.5. The CGC Universal Grade slab has a visible hairline crack in its bottom left corner.
