Description
A pair of vintage American comic books, identified as EC Comics ‘Valor’ issues #4 and #5, both titled ‘Tales of Mortal Combat, and Deeds of Valor’. Both comics were published by EC and prominently feature the “Approved by the Comics Code Authority” stamp. Issue No. 4 is dated October, and issue No. 5 is dated December, with both originally retailing for 10¢. The covers display vibrant, action-oriented illustrations in a mid-20th century adventure style, depicting warriors and classical settings. The reverse sides feature period advertisements for items such as a “Lucky Grab Bag” and Christmas cards. Both items are constructed from paper and cardstock.
Condition report:
Circulated condition. Visible signs of wear including creasing, corner dings, and surface discoloration consistent with age and use.
