Description

A vintage American comic book titled “The Spirit,” identified as “No. 2” and originally priced at “10¢.” The front cover features multi-panel, Golden Age-style comic artwork depicting action scenes including a “GUN BLAST…”, a “DEATH GASP.” scene with a knife, and a man surrounded by money exclaiming “HA HA HA! WHO SAYS CRIME DOESN’T PAY!”, with the response “I do!! The Spirit.” The reverse side displays a full-page advertisement for an “Electric Spot Reducer” and “Lose Weight” products, featuring illustrations of the device and a woman, alongside numerous promotional slogans and a “SENT ON APPROVAL-MAIL COUPON NOW!” section, characteristic of mid-20th century print advertising. The comic book is made of paper. A white sticker bearing the number “396” is present at the bottom.

Fair condition. Visible signs of age including creasing, edge wear, and some discoloration. Both covers are intact.
