Description
A pair of vintage American comic books from the Blackhawk series by Quality Comics. The first, Issue No. 60, published January 1953, features the story “THE ATTACK OF THE CRIMSON HOODS.” The second, Issue No. 92, published September 1955, features “PRISONERS OF THE BLACK DUNGEON” and bears the “APPROVED BY THE COMICS CODE AUTHORITY” seal. Both comics were originally priced at 10c. The back cover of Issue No. 60 displays an advertisement for a “HOW TO FIX ANY PART OF ANY CAR” manual, while Issue No. 92’s back cover advertises “CURTISS MIRACLE AID” (Strawberry flavor). Printed on paper. A handwritten lot number “388” is visible on a white slip beneath the items.
Condition report:
Both comics exhibit signs of age and handling consistent with vintage paper items. Visible condition issues include edge wear, creasing to covers and pages, and surface discoloration. Some minor tears or small losses may be present along edges. Overall fair to good vintage condition.
