Description

An American comic book titled ‘Mysterious Stories’, June issue, from the Golden Age period, published post-1954 as indicated by the ‘APPROVED BY THE COMICS CODE AUTHORITY’ seal. The front cover displays ’10¢’ and features classic comic book illustration depicting a dramatic scene with three figures: a man in a trench coat, a woman in a blue dress, and a skeletal or ghoulish figure wielding a weapon, set against a dark, possibly ancient castle backdrop with fiery elements. A partial blurb reads: “THE DARK, ANCIENT CASTLE STOOD BROAD AND MYSTERIOUS FOR A HUNDRED MUSTY YEARS. WHEN HAW PALMER ENTERED, HE WAS MET AT THE GATE BY A STRANGE FIGURE—AN ANCIENT RETAINER WHO FORBADE HIM ENTRANCE! YET…”. The back cover features a period advertisement from ‘THE FULMAN’ of Chicago for ‘MEN-WOMEN-BOYS-GIRLS PRIZES GIVEN MAKE MONEY TOO!’, showcasing various items such as cameras, bicycles, and watches. Constructed of paper.
