Description
An American comic book titled ‘Mysterious Stories’, June issue, from the Golden Age period, published post-1954 as indicated by the ‘APPROVED BY THE COMICS CODE AUTHORITY’ seal. The front cover displays ’10¢’ and features classic comic book illustration depicting a dramatic scene with three figures: a man in a trench coat, a woman in a blue dress, and a skeletal or ghoulish figure wielding a weapon, set against a dark, possibly ancient castle backdrop with fiery elements. A partial blurb reads: “THE DARK, ANCIENT CASTLE STOOD BROAD AND MYSTERIOUS FOR A HUNDRED MUSTY YEARS. WHEN HAW PALMER ENTERED, HE WAS MET AT THE GATE BY A STRANGE FIGURE—AN ANCIENT RETAINER WHO FORBADE HIM ENTRANCE! YET…”. The back cover features a period advertisement from ‘THE FULMAN’ of Chicago for ‘MEN-WOMEN-BOYS-GIRLS PRIZES GIVEN MAKE MONEY TOO!’, showcasing various items such as cameras, bicycles, and watches. Fair condition. The paper exhibits considerable wear consistent with its age and handling, including creasing, discoloration, and edge fraying. General handling wear is evident throughout.
