Description
A vintage American comic book, “Leading Comics,” issue No. 23, published by DC Comics in 1947. The front cover, dated “FEB. MCH.” and originally priced at “TEN CENTS,” features a cartoon-style illustration depicting a wolf-like character in overalls falling backward, with a smiling pig-like character (Peter Porkchops) holding a banana peel, all against a red, yellow, and green background. Text on the cover highlights “PUSS ‘N POOCH” and introduces “PETER PORKCHOPS AND A FLOCK OF BRAND NEW ANIMAL FRIENDS!” The DC Comics “SUPERMAN DC NATIONAL COMICS” logo is visible in the upper right corner.
