Description
A group of four vintage American comic books, all featuring the character ‘The Phantom.’ Two issues are published by Charlton, specifically Vol. 5 No. 6 and Vol. 1 No. 6. The remaining two issues are from Harvey Hits magazine, identified as No. 3 and Vol. 3 No. 4. All issues are dated June and have cover prices of either 15¢ or 12¢. The covers display vivid mid-20th century comic art illustrating themes such as “DANGER BENGALI,” treasure hunts, and “Rescue in Crocodile Lair,” accompanied by taglines like “ALL NEW ADVENTURES!!” and “3 COMPLETE EXCITING ADVENTURES IN THIS ISSUE!” The reverse sides feature period advertisements, including offers to “Finish High School at home,” collect “REAL FOREIGN COINS,” various mail-order novelties, and art talent tests.
Condition report:
