Description
A group of seven vintage American comic books, primarily from the late 1940s to early 1950s. The lot includes: ‘Terry and the Pirates’ (10¢ PDC), published by Harvey Comics; ‘Walt Disney’s Uncle Scrooge’ (Dell); three issues of ‘Walt Disney Comics’ and ‘Walt Disney’s Comics and Stories’ (Dell), with visible dates including October 1948 (Vol. 9 No. 1), March 1949 (Vol. 9 No. 6), and November 1949 (Vol. 10 No. 2), featuring Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, and nephews; ‘Billy The Kid Adventure Magazine’ (Toby Press); and ‘Hopalong Cassidy starring William Boyd’ (Fawcett), with the visible text ‘DEATH HOLDS THE REINS!’. Several covers display a 10¢ price. One Disney comic has an address visible for ‘Andrew Simon, Brooklyn’. Each comic is housed in a clear plastic sleeve.
Condition report:
Good overall condition, commensurate with age and use. Covers show visible creasing, edge tears, and some discoloration. Cover colors remain generally vibrant. Minor wear to spines and corners.
