Description
A collection of seven vintage American comic books, likely dating from the mid-1960s to early 1970s. This lot includes *Popeye The Sailor* #85 (King Comics, 1967), which bears the handwritten inscription ’85 Arthur Loddy’ and features a ‘VOODOO DOLL KIT’ on the cover. Also included are *Mandrake The Magician* (King Comics), *Archie’s Mad House* (Archie Comics, APR. No. 60), *Beetle Bailey* (Charlton Comics, marked ‘Complimentary Copy’, by Mort Walker), *Blue Beetle* (Charlton Comics, introducing ‘MENTOR THE MAGNIFICENT’), *Billy The Kid* (Charlton Comics, APRIL), and *Pep* (Fawcett, MAR. No. 287, featuring ‘ONE SNOWBALL!’). All issues display the ‘Approved by the Comics Code Authority’ stamp and are priced between 12¢ and 20¢. A white slip of paper with the handwritten number ‘418’ is included with the lot.
Condition report:
The comics exhibit wear consistent with age and handling, including creasing, edge wear, and minor surface abrasions. Colors remain generally vibrant. All issues appear to be intact.
