Description
A group of four vintage American comic books from the Marvel Comics Group, all featuring “THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN.” This lot includes *The Amazing Spider-Man King-Size Special #6* (featuring the Sinister Six), *The Amazing Spider-Man Special King Size Annual #2* (dated 1965, featuring Doctor Strange), and two further *Amazing Spider-Man King-Size Special* issues (one featuring the Shocker, one featuring the Human Torch). These comics are from the Silver/Bronze Age period, with two identified as “KING-SIZE SPECIAL!” (25c) and two as “SPECIAL KING SIZE ANNUAL!” (35c). The colorful illustrative covers depict Spider-Man engaging with various characters and adversaries, with text highlighting page counts (“BIG 64 PAGES!”, “72 BIG PAGES!”) and specific story elements. The reverse sides feature period advertisements, notably for a “Greeting Card Company,” “X-Ray Vision,” “Rare Coins,” and an art school recruitment ad quoting “Norman Rockwell.”
