Description
A group of three vintage American comic books, ‘Blackhawk,’ published by Quality Comics. This lot comprises issue No. 46 (July), subtitled ‘THE RED EXECUTIONER’; issue No. 61 (February), subtitled ‘NO POWER ON EARTH COULD HALT THE WORLD DESTROYER’; and issue No. 83 (December), subtitled ‘TRAPPED IN THE KREMLIN.’ Each comic features colorful illustrations characteristic of mid-20th century comics, with a 10¢ cover price. The back covers display period advertisements, including ‘NEWEST RECORDS,’ ‘HOW TO HYPNOTIZE,’ and ’70 Big Prizes’ for items such as a wrist watch and archery set. All items are printed on paper. A white label bearing the number ‘436’ is visible below the items.
Condition report:
Circulated condition with visible creasing, edge wear, and general paper toning consistent with age and use.
