Description
A vintage Golden Age comic book, Zoot Comics #13A, published by Fox Features Syndicate in February 1948. The front cover, priced at 10¢, features colorful artwork depicting Rulah, the scantily-clad jungle goddess, battling a snake and leopards against a fiery jungle backdrop. Prominently displayed text on the front includes ‘IN THIS ISSUE – RULAH, JUNGLE GODDESS IN STONE JUNGLE, BLOODY MOON AND PLUNDERING CULT.’ The reverse side features various period advertisements, notably for ‘AMERICA’S GREATEST Zipper BILLFOLD BARGAIN!’ priced at ‘$1.98 PLUS TAX,’ showcasing different billfold styles, and a ‘SOCIAL SECURITY Plate only 35c,’ alongside a mail-order coupon. Constructed from paper.
Condition report:
The comic exhibits significant signs of age and use, including creasing, wear along the edges and spine, minor tears, and overall discoloration or foxing.
