Description
A group of three Golden Age comic books, prominently featuring ‘Thun’da King of the Congo.’ The lot includes ‘Thun’da King of the Congo,’ depicting a hero battling an ape amidst elephants; ‘Kaanga Jungle King,’ with a cover showing a jungle man, woman, and lion, and the story title ‘THE CULT OF THE KILLER CLAWS’; and ‘Miss Liberty Comic Book,’ explicitly marked as a ‘1945 ISSUE,’ showcasing a female superhero in action. All comics are priced at 10 cents and feature adventure and superhero themes. The reverse sides feature period advertisements, such as ‘Don’t Pay a Penny for these Newest Frocks!’ and ‘FLY LIKE A BIRD! With Wings Made From The Original Sketches of Leonardo Da Vinci’s Flying Machine.’
Condition report:
Good overall condition, consistent with age and use. Covers retain vibrant colors. Visible wear includes creasing, edge wear, and minor surface imperfections throughout. Pages are generally intact.
