Description
A collection of 5 vintage American comic books, including Blackhawk No. 63 (Quality Comics, December 1953). The lot also features Animal Comics No. 44 (Dec. Jan.), Dick Tracy Monthly No. 4 (June), All-American Western No. 102 (Dec. Jan.), and Mary Jane and Sniffles comics (Fall). All comics feature a 10-cent cover price and characteristic art style of the Golden or early Silver Age. The Blackhawk cover features the translated text, “TRAPPED by the KREMLIN!”, indicating a Cold War context. Back covers display various period advertisements, including one for “Daisy Air Rifles, ” subscription offers for “Dick Tracy Monthly, ” and additional comic strips such as “Uncle Waggly.” Constructed from standard comic book paper. A white tag with the number “448” is present at the bottom.
Condition report:
The items generally appear in fair to good condition, showing typical signs of age-related wear such as creasing, edge and spine wear, and some discoloration, consistent with vintage paper ephemera.
