Description
A collection of six Golden Age comic books from the 1940s, printed on paper. The lot includes “Spirit” (Vol. 1 No. 3, January 1944), “Comedy Comics” (No. 11), “Air Ace” (Vol. 1 No. 3), “Popular Comics” (No. 92, October), “Blue Bolt” (Vol. 4 No. 8, April), and “True Comics” (No. 59). Visible text on the covers indicates a price of 10 cents for each issue. The comics feature characters and themes typical of the era, such as superheroes, adventure, and true stories. An interior contents page for “Comedy Comics” (Number 11) lists Stan Lee as editor.
