Description

A collection of five issues from the Marvel Comics Group series ‘Not Brand Echh’. These parody/humor comics feature exaggerated caricatures of popular Marvel superheroes and villains. The collection includes issues No. 1 (August, 12¢), No. 5 (January, 20¢), No. 11 (September, 20¢), No. 12 (November, 25¢), and No. 13 (February, 25¢), dating from the late 1960s to early 1970s. Prominent text on the covers includes “WHO SAYS A COMIC BOOK HAS TO BE GOOD?!” and character names such as “FRANKENSTEIN!”. The back covers of all issues feature an advertisement titled “We’re looking for people who like to draw” with Norman Rockwell’s name. A small white sticky note with the number “480” is affixed to the back of one comic.


Condition report:

The comics exhibit visible wear consistent with handled, used items. Condition issues include creasing, spine rolls, corner damage, and some discoloration throughout. Overall, Fair to Good condition.
