Description
A group of 13 Golden Age Walter Lantz New Funnies comic books, published by Dell Comics. These vintage American comic books feature various animated characters created by Walter Lantz, including Woody Woodpecker, Andy Panda, Oswald, Charlie Chicken, Homer Pigeon, and L’il Eight Ball, rendered in a classic mid-century cartoon style. Visible markings include “DELL, ” “10c, ” and “52 pages ALL COMICS!”. The collection includes issues with various publication months such as January, February, March, April, May, July, September, and October. One cover bears a handwritten “12-47” date, suggesting a mid-to-late 1940s publication period. Constructed from paper and cardstock.
Condition report:
The items exhibit apparent wear, creasing, and discolouration consistent with age and handling. Covers show surface rubbing, minor tears, and some spine roll. Pages are generally intact but may have tanning and minor foxing. Overall condition is fair to good.
