Description
7 vintage ‘Walt Disney’s Comics and Stories’ comic books, primarily featuring Donald Duck and other classic Disney characters, many with stories by the influential Golden Age artist Carl Barks. Identified issues include #101, #102, #105, #106, #107, #108, and #109, dating them to the late 1940s to early 1950s. Printed on paper, each comic cover displays an original price of ’10¢, ‘ with one issue also having a handwritten ‘$8.00’ crossed out and ‘$4.00’ next to it. The back covers feature period advertisements for other Disney comics and films such as ‘Ichabod and Mr. Toad, ‘ ‘Bambi, ‘ and ‘Cinderella.’ A small white label with ‘543’ handwritten on it is present on the lower right corner, likely an inventory or lot number.
Condition report:
The collection appears in used, fair to good condition. Typical signs of age-related wear are present across the group, including creasing to covers and pages, spine stress, edge wear, and general discoloration to the paper. Some issues may exhibit minor tears or chips commensurate with age and handling.
