Description
A pair of vintage ‘Fantastic Story Magazine’ pulp magazines, comprising the Spring 1951 and Summer 1951 issues. Each magazine is priced at 25¢. The Summer 1951 issue features a cover illustration of a woman in a futuristic helmet and suit holding a raygun, advertising stories such as “THE CONQUERORS” and “ADAM’S END.” The Spring 1951 issue displays a cover with a large green, multi-eyed creature emerging from water with a futuristic cityscape, promoting “DAWN OF FLAME” and “THE BLACK FLAME.” The backs of both magazines show advertisements for mystery novels and an adventure book club, along with business reply cards. Constructed from paper.
Condition report:
Both items exhibit significant wear consistent with their age, including creasing, tears, chipping along the edges and spines, and general discoloration. Overall condition is fair.
