Description
An original Marvel Comics, Fantastic Four #18, dated September and originally priced at 12¢. This issue features the first appearance of the villain Super-Skrull. The front cover depicts the Fantastic Four battling “The All-Powerful Super-Skrull!” above the tagline “THE WORLD’S GREATEST COMIC MAGAZINE!” The reverse side features a full-page advertisement for Wallace Brown, Inc., marketing Christmas cards with prominent text including “BOYS, GIRLS, MEN, WOMEN, IF YOU KNOW JUST 20 PEOPLE… YOU CAN MAKE AT LEAST $50.00 MORE LIKELY $100.00 TO $200.00 IN YOUR SPARE TIME!” Constructed from paper. A white sticker bearing the handwritten number “561” is present at the bottom of the visual field, independent of the comic itself.
Condition report:
Exhibits moderate to heavy wear consistent with age, including visible creasing, spine stress, edge wear, and general discoloration.
