Description
This lot features two vintage American comic books published by DC Comics, both starring Batman. The first is issue #121, titled “Special – A New Mad Hatter Adventure!” and originally priced at 12¢. It displays classic Silver Age comic art depicting Batman, Robin, and Bat-Mite. The back cover features an advertisement for “Amazing Circus of 6 Growing Animals.” The second comic is a larger “GIANT” format, priced at 80¢ and identified as “Second Star Collection 4.” This issue showcases “The Rainbow Batman” and “The Joker Batman,” promoting “6 BIG FANTASTIC, BIZARRE ADVENTURES!” The back of this comic includes a 1966 advertisement for Daisy air rifles. Both comics are made of paper.
Condition report:
Both comics exhibit significant wear consistent with age and handling, including visible creasing, edge fraying, spine roll, and surface abrasions.
