Description
A pair of DC Comics ‘Giant Batman Annual’ comic books, comprising issue #1 and issue #2, both dated 1962 and originally priced at 25¢. Both feature colorful Silver Age superhero artwork depicting Batman and Robin. Issue #1 is marked “FIRST COLLECTION EVER PUBLISHED!” and highlights “1.001 SECRETS OF BATMAN AND ROBIN” on its cover. Its reverse features a collage of promotional comic book covers with the text “Follow the Adventures of BAT MAN and ROBIN” and “ON SALE Everywhere!”. Issue #2 is designated “AN ALL-STAR ISSUE!” and promotes a “Giant 1962 BATMAN and ROBIN PIN-UP CALENDAR!” on its cover. The back cover of issue #2 presents a full-page illustration of “The Batman Family” (including Batman, Robin, Batwoman, Bat-Girl, Bat-Mite, and Ace the Bat-Hound) with the text “Greetings from the Batman Family” and the visible signature “BOB KANE”. Condition report:
Fair to Good condition commensurate with age and use. Both comics exhibit significant signs of age and use, including creasing, spine stress, edge wear, and discoloration on the covers and pages.
