Description
A Golden Age Superman Sunday Newspaper Strip, originating from the Chicago Sunday Times comic section, dated December 8, 1946. This full-color newsprint strip is professionally encapsulated and graded by CGC as ‘AU’ (Authentic). The storyline is identified as “‘Superman’s Service for Steve Kennedy’,” with script by Al Schwartz, pencils by Wayne Boring, and inks by Stan Kaye, based on the original creation by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The newsprint displays an aged, yellowish-tan tone characteristic of its period, featuring various panels depicting Superman, Lois Lane, and other characters in English dialogue. Visible markings include the original price of “10¢”, “COPYRIGHT 1946 MCCLURE NEWSPAPER SYNDICATE,” and an advertisement for “$100 CASH CONTESTS THIS ISSUE.”
