Description
A group of printed comic strip proofs featuring ‘Little Annie Rooney’ by Brandon Walsh. Each proof is printed on thin, fax-like paper. These pages, dating from 1934 to 1937, include both black-and-white and colorized panels, executed in a classic early to mid-20th-century American newspaper comic art style. Each strip features English dialogue and is attributed to King Features Syndicate, Inc., with some pages marked ‘Great Britain rights reserved.’ Visible page numbers include ‘5.27,’ ‘5.30,’ ‘1-12,’ and ‘5-10.’ Printed on aged paper, likely newsprint.
Condition report:
The pages exhibit noticeable yellowing, creasing, and minor edge wear, consistent with their age and previous handling. Some minor tears or small losses may be present along edges, typical of newsprint from this period.
