Description
An original psychedelic concert poster, identified as FD-73-OP-1: Smiling Hun, for performances by Blue Cheer, The Youngbloods, and Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band at the Avalon Ballroom from July 27-30, 1967. The poster was designed by artist Tom Glass (as Ned Lamont) and promoted by Family Dog. It features a two-color design primarily in vibrant orange and blue on a white background, depicting a central robed figure with detailed patterns on their clothing and headwear, leaning against a textured wall. Band names, venue, and date are integrated into the brick-like orange text. A “Family Dog Presents” logo and a comprehensive list of ticket outlets from various California cities, along with a 1967 copyright by Family Dog Productions, appear at the bottom. The poster is encased in a CGC Universal Grade slab.

Encased in a CGC Universal Grade slab with a professional grade of 9.8 (Near Mint). The poster exhibits excellent apparent condition consistent with this high professional grade.
