A substantial collection of antique and vintage cigarette and trading cards, as indicated by an accompanying digital tally counter. Constructed from paper or thin cardboard, these cards predominantly feature colorful illustrations and some photographs. Subjects depicted are diverse, including historical figures (‘The Order of the Thistle’), theatrical characters (‘Martin Harvey as ‘Sidney Carton’ in ‘The Only Way,’ and ‘Coquelin as Cyrano de Bergerac’), significant objects (‘Queen Elizabeth’s Salt-Cellar’), architecture (‘River Railway Bridge’), and military/naval themes (‘Anti-Aircraft,’ ‘Naval T…’).
