Description
A collection of ten vintage American comic books from the mid-to-late Silver Age (primarily 1960s), featuring Dell Comics Nukla #1 (1965, First Appearance & Origin of Nukla), promoted as “The First Action-Packed Adventure.” The lot also includes Mighty Comics titles “The Blackhood Man of Mystery” (No. 44, No. 47), “The Shield and The Web” (No. 43), and “The Shield” (No. 48); Harvey Comics’ “Top Secret Adventures Spyman” (No. 1, No. 3), showcasing a hero with an “electro-robot hand”; Dell Publishing’s “Kona Monarch of Monster Isle,” depicting a struggle with “killer sharks”; and “Fatman the Human Flying Saucer” No. 1 (Apr 1967, 25c), noted as “Written & Drawn by the Creator of the Original Captain Marvel – O.Q. Binder & C.C. Beck” and featuring “Anti-Man” and “Tinman.” All comics are encased in clear plastic sleeves with white backboards. Many bear the “Approved by the Comics Code Authority” stamp.
Condition report:
Good condition overall. Colors remain bright. Minimal wear visible through protective coverings. Minor handling wear commensurate with age.
