Description

A collection of five vintage digest-sized humor and gag cartoon magazines, primarily dating from the mid-20th century. The lot includes two distinct issues of “CARTOON LAUGHS” (No. 13, FALL 1965, 35¢ and No. 6, 35¢), both bearing the subtitle “GIRLS… PUBLISHED FOR THE ‘FUN’ OF IT… GAGS” and mentioning “Over 200 Cartoons.” Web intelligence indicates “Cartoon Laughs” was published by Atlas Magazines, Inc. The collection also features “GOOD HUMOR” (No. 7, 35¢), “150 NEW CARTOONS” (No. 9, 35¢, identified as a Charlton Publication and described as “a LAUGH RIOT of FUN and FROLIC”), and “BIGGER THAN EVER COLLEGE LAUGHS” (25¢, Feb., featuring categories such as “Giddy Gags” and “Curvy Coeds”). The publications are made of paper and cardstock, showcasing colorful, illustrative covers in a classic mid-century cartoon style. A small yellow sticky note with “72” handwritten on it is adhered near the bottom right magazine.

Condition report:
