Description

This lot comprises three vintage pulp magazines or comic books, predominantly in the Western adventure genre featuring the character Buffalo Bill. The collection includes one English edition titled “THE BUFFALO BILL STORIES,” subtitled “BUFFALO BILL AND SILENT SAM THE WOMAN OF THE IRON HAND,” marked “No. 111” and “Price Five Cents,” published by “STREET & SMITH, Publishers, NEW YORK.” The lot also includes two Italian editions titled “Buffalo-Bill.” One Italian edition is titled “L’assalto alla posta della Prateria” (The assault on the Prairie post office), and the other is titled “El Ramon, Il brigante del Rio Grande” (El Ramon, The brigand of the Rio Grande), with the latter identified as “Fascicolo 10°” (Issue 10th). Both Italian editions are marked “Prezzo 25 Centesimi” (Price 25 Cents). All items are made of printed paper, likely newsprint, consistent with late 19th to early 20th-century publications. One Italian edition is protected within a clear plastic sleeve, and a separate small paper label with “73” is visible.
