Description
A group of ten vintage American comic books from the Star Spangled War Stories (1952 DC Series), predominantly featuring ‘The Unknown Soldier’. These Bronze Age comics, published in the early 1970s, display cover prices of 15c, 20c, and 25c. Several covers also feature the tagline ‘The Hammer of Hell!’. The artwork characteristic of the period depicts war themes and soldier narratives. Back covers include period advertisements for American Seeds, Aurora model cars and monster kits, and ‘Hot Birds’ flying toys. Constructed of paper and ink.
Condition report:
The comic books exhibit varied apparent condition, generally showing signs of circulation and age including creasing, spine wear, minor tears, and surface discoloration. A small white slip with the handwritten number \'81\' is present with the lot.
